Classes are over until January 7, and many AHA students have left back to the United States. About seven of us are left for the full semester. It was a little sad. I was just starting to get to know people, but it was great while it lasted. It was a bit melancholic for a Yule celebration.
Christmas has passed. For Christmas Eve my host family and I went over to my host mom's sister's home. We ate seafood and watch the kids open their presents. It was really exciting, actually. As for Christmas day, her family came to my host stay's house and we proceeded to have a three to four hour lunch. It was actually very cozy. It was bizarre being so far away from home, not to mention the lack of snow. I pretty much just celebrate Yule on Christmas. It's a lot easier that way.
I'm not feeling too inspired to really write about anything else, unfortunately. I start my New Year's vacation in two days. I'll start off in Paris for three days before heading to Dublin, Ireland. After two or three days there we have a pitstop in Holyhead, Wales to take a bus to London. Finally, we return to Paris and then Angers just before classes start back up.
I hope that you had a Merry Christmas/Happy Yule and may you have a Happy New Year's too!
